Clean Up Collection
Council’s Clean Up Collection service allows each residential property up to three clean up collections per year of up to 2m3 for removal of bulky household items. Council clean up bookings are collected on Mondays. Please review the below list of items we accept before booking your collection. Items that are not accepted will not be collected.
Bookings are essential for this service. Click the below “Book Now” button to book your service.
For furniture and household items in good condition, contact The Bower Reuse and Repair Centre to donate to resell them back to the community at low cost or to get them to people in need and reduce the amount sent to landfill.
Residents are reminded that e-waste including unwanted televisions and computers are excluded from Council’s clean up collections and your normal household bin collection. Televisions and e-waste contain hazardous materials that can pose environmental and health risks if not properly recycled or disposed. They also contain precious material that should be recovered as part of Australia’s commitment to a circular economy.
Council offers Drop-Off Recycling Stations for hard-to-recycle items such as batteries, CDs/DVDs, light globes, mobile phones, printer cartridges, X-rays located at our:
Strathfield Council Customer Service Centre (65 Homebush Road, Strathfield)
Strathfield Council Library & Innovation Hub (65-67 Rochester Street, Homebush)
For the most up-to-date database of all disposal avenues, visit the Australian Government’s Recycle Mate.
